Customer: Porsche, Audi AG

Location: Le Mans – Frankreich

The task: Setup of two two-story steel halls and the interior construction of the existing garages as race boxes for the Porsche racing team. These were complete double pits with double floors, in which the car lifts and set-up plates were installed flush with the floor. Cabinets and walls were precisely adapted to the conditions in Le Mans. Added to this were changing rooms, additional toilets and pit lane lighting.

The two-story steel halls in detail: 281 m² ground floor

  • Each team had a separate area. Team catering during the sessions was available to everyone
  • The engine workshop was equipped with a special lifting crane
  • On the ground floor, there were also special tire heating tents, so that the material was always at the right operating temperature.
  • The façade of the hall was branded according to the customer’s specifications.

Upper floor: 44.5 m²

On this floor, there were up to 80 (air-conditioned) engineer workspaces with the complete energy, communication and IT infrastructure, which were installed on this level together with the server room, which was also air-conditioned. The rest of the space was used as storage.

Container city on two levels: 256 m² ground floor

There was also a workshop and storage area for large chassis parts on this level.

Upper floor: This level was reserved for the team and their assistants. The following areas were fully equipped according to the customer’s specifications:

  • 1 double container for meetings
  • 1 triple container for physician / physiotherapist / relaxation
  • 1 single container for the team manager
  • 1 single container for the office
  • 2 driver containers with shower and toilet
